Sharpsburg End of Summer Bash – Free Kayaking & S’mores
September 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeIntroducing this special paddle series to feature some of Sharpsburg’s best businesses and organizations! Each installment will be sponsored by a local establishment offering a free item or service in their wheelhouse. Come experience all the magic this borough has to offer.
To finish this new series with a bang, we’re throwing a party with the Borough of Sharpsburg and Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization!Â
Free KayakingÂ
We provide the kayak, paddle, safety vest, and a paddle talk by our Outdoor Educators to get you started. Enjoy a leisurely guided paddle on the Allegheny River. Check out Six Mile Island or 62nd Street Bridge from the seat of a kayak. Watch wildlife emerge as the sun starts to set. Bring friends or make new ones.
Never paddled before? Great! This is the perfect beginner introduction to kayaking and our staff will be there to assist you every step of the way.
S’mores Bar and Games
The Borough of Sharpsburg is sponsoring a s’mores bar of our dreams. Come enjoy this classic summer time treat in a beautiful riverside park setting. Venture Outdoors will be providing yard games, coloring, and music. If you’re the first timeslot – stay after to take part in the fun. If you’re the second timeslot – come early to take part in the fun!
Please be advised:

- Personal floatation devices (life jackets) must be warn at all times while on the water.
