Venture Outdoors Legislator Day

Since 2001, Venture Outdoors, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has led more than 800,000 outdoor experiences for folx of all ages, stages, communities, and skill levels. We have hundreds of programs from STEM education to outdoor leadership to training & certifications planned for 2023. You’re invited to join our team for a sneak peek at upcoming programs and projects, including our new Kayak Pittsburgh Community Hub and ACA Pro Paddle School scheduled to open downtown in 2024.

8 am – 10 am     Downtown Community Hub Site Tour
David L. Lawrence Convention Center – 1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Enjoy some coffee and a light breakfast while you talk with our staff and partners about the impact our youth, community, and paddlesport programs have on the Pittsburgh region.  Then join us for a tour, by land or river, of the Kayak Pittsburgh Downtown Community Hub scheduled to open in May 2024.
River tour is limited to 10 people and includes a 30-minute on-water tour of the Allegheny River around Point State Park, captained by our friends at Freedom Boat Club.

11 am – 1 pm     North Park Community Hub Tour
North Park Lake Boathouse – 10301 Pearce Mill Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101
Join us for a tour of the Kayak Pittsburgh North Park Community Hub, including an opportunity to kayak, fish, or just enjoy the lake! Discover the impact of our programs and partnerships throughout Allegheny County, and beyond.  A light lunch and Millie’s ice cream will be provided.
