Summer Camp: Ultimate Outdoor Survival
Rising Grades 6th -9th

Day Camp Monday-Friday | July 14 – 18 | 9am – 4pm | North Park

POV – you’re in the woods with your fellow campers and everyone’s phone is DEAD. You’ll have to navigate using a compass (on land and while kayaking), build fires, filter water, forage food (and hang it in a bear bag!), construct a shelter, and survive until someone with a portable charger finds you. Campers will learn all the skills listed above while building relationships by completing a team survival challenge. You’ll do plenty of hiking and kayaking around North Park.

Venture Outdoors Summer Camps

At Venture Outdoors Summer Camps, your camper is guaranteed time outdoors and away from screens. In addition to their qualifying backgrounds, our Outdoor Educators go through an extensive two-week training on outdoor activities, facilitation, behavior-modification, First Aid, and CPR. Your camper will be encouraged and supported to participate in all activities, but they can decide for themselves their interest in each challenge. We follow a Challenge By Choice approach.

Financial assistance: Please fill out this form and we’ll contact you if financial assistance is available. Completion of this form does not automatically enroll your camper in summer camp, nor does it guarantee that we will be able to offer financial assistance at any point.

Next Steps: Upon registration you’ll receive a camper wellness packet. Prior to each camp you’ll receive a schedule of activities so you can prepare you camper. If any schedule or location changes occur, we’ll notify you by email and/or phone.
