Woman and Genderqueer Beginner Mountain Bike Clinic
July 31 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free – $20.00Women & Genderqueer Beginner Mountain Bike Clinic
Are you interested in trying mountain biking for the first time or are you just starting out and looking to increase your self-confidence on a mountain bike? Join us on one (or all) of our monthly beginner-level mountain biking clinics in Frick Park!
Learn effective riding skills and techniques to improve your riding experience within the support of a women and genderqueer riders only group. This is a beginner-level mountain bike ride, but some previous experience and comfort riding a bike is necessary for this outing.
We will start with reviewing bike fit and practicing some basic bike handling skills in the grass. Riders will have the opportunity for a guided no-drop ride on Frick Park single track where we will take some stops to practice on a couple of features, always challenge by choice. Riders can also choose to stay back and continue practicing drills based on their comfort level.
The clinic will wrap-up with an opportunity to hang out.
Difficulty Level: Level 2/3 – Easy/Moderate
Starting Location: Frick Park Hollow (5 minute walk from the parking lot)
Parking: Frick Park Parking Lot (off of Hutchinson St)
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to ensure that the trip gets underway on time. Dress for the weather (Venture Outdoors trips proceed rain or shine!), bring water and wear comfortable closed toe shoes. By reserving a ticket, you acknowledge that you are physically able to undertake the activity described above.
