Women & Genderqueer Beginner Cross County Skiing

Are you interested in learning how to cross county ski? Join the PA Cross Country Skiers Association and Venture Outdoors for a lesson and guided trip through groomed trails in the Laurel Ridge XC Ski Center, The group will start off with a one hour lesson where we will cover  basic skills of classic Nordic skiing including falling and rising, balance drills, diagonal stride, use of poles and also hill technique. The group will break for lunch and then continue on a 2 hour guided journey to explore the trails and practice the skills covered in the lesson.

Ticket includes the trail pass fee but does not include equipment rental. Further information about recommended shop for equipment rental, what to wear and bring, and what to expect will be sent via email upon registration. Starting Location: Laurel Ridge XC Ski Center (1101 Jim Mountain Road, Rockwood, PA 15557)

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to ensure that the trip gets underway on time. Dress for the weather (Venture Outdoors trips proceed rain or shine!), bring water and wear comfortable closed toe shoes. By reserving a ticket, you acknowledge that you are physically able to undertake the activity described above.
