2024 spooky Series

Spend October outside, exploring some of the spookiest spots Pittsburgh has to offer! Hike through haunted trails and paddle through mysterious waters—if you dare! Each Saturday in October, our volunteers and staff have assembled a series of outdoor experiences that embrace all the thrills and chills of the Halloween season.  See for yourself!

Sat October 12th – VOEGTLY CEMETERY URBAN HIKE – Join amateur historian and former librarian in exploring this eerie and overgrown graveyard, rich in atmosphere and 169 years of haunting history.

Sat October 19th – DRAVO CEMETERY BIKE RIDE – Join us for a scenic 12-mile bike ride along the Great Allegheny Passage to the historic Dravo Cemetery! This out-and-back journey is perfect for cycling enthusiasts of all levels, offering a blend of beautiful landscapes and local history.

Sat October 26th – DEAD MAN’S HOLLOW HIKE – We will have the opportunity to check out some of the ruins, climb the Enchanted Staircase, and learn about some of the hollow’s legends of natural disasters, murder and accidental deaths.
