So you bought your own kayak, now what? Well, join us for a special class at the North Park Boat house where our Kayak Pittsburgh experts can help you get the most out of your new boat. We will cover the proper use of equipment, safe transportation, where to launch, how to launch, and use of kayaks.

A personally owned kayak is required. PFDs and paddles are available for use.

Participants are responsible for transporting their personal kayak to and from the course. Please comply with manufacturer recommended transportation guidelines. Pull up near the Over the Bar café and drop off your kayak on the lawn between OTB and the driveway to the boathouse parking lot; then park your vehicle in the lot and join us on the lawn. While our instructors will make every effort to help you with your boat we cannot guarantee familiarity with every manufacture and model of kayak available.
