Try our NEW sit-on-top kayaks & more

At Kayak Pittsburgh, we’re best known for our kayaks (of course) but we have plenty of gear to get you on the water in more ways than one. Try out our NEW sit-on-top kayaks  or catamarans. Or stick with our old favorites like SUP (stand-up-paddleboards), pedal boats. We’ll see yinz on the water!

Easier to Access Seats

Closed top kayaks can be a little harder to get your legs into. With a sit-on top there’s less maneuvering needed to get started. Great for folks with limited mobility or trouble with balance. Plus, the seats are mighty-comfy!

Great for fishing

The sit-on-tops are built for kayaking fishing. Not only do they have fishing rod holders, but a nice cup holder to bring your favorite fishing beverage along. Join the next guided kayak fishing trip coming up.

Rent at North Park Lake & sharpsburg

You can now rent these babies to explore North Park Lake or the Allegheny River from our Sharpsburg location. You must reserve in advance. Bring along your fishing gear and take the afternoon to be gone fishin’.

Other Ways to Paddle

Try a catamaran

What’s a catamaran? Glad you asked!

Basically, our catamarans are two canoes connected together. They’re great for fitting a whole family or group of friends out on the water. They’ll fit up to four adults and two kids.

What’s SUP?

SUP stands for a Stand Up Paddle, and it’s one of the fast growing water sports in the US.

Practice your balance on a leisurely excursion on North Park Lake.
