9 Bike Rides 15 Miles or Less in Pittsburgh

Looking for some bike routes to loop through in Pittsburgh? BikePGH shared some of their favorite routes with us that they use for group rides and special events. Add any of these routes to your weekly plans to boost your 2,021 Miles in 2021 Challenge.

Downtown to North Side

Pedal 5 miles of iconic Pittsburgh bridges, trails, and views of The Point.

Strip District loop

Enjoy a flat ride to pass by Strip District shops and restaurants to The Point then back up through a beautiful trail and recently renovated streets.

Schenley to frick park

Challenge yourself with some hills to visit two well known parks in Pittsburgh. There will be some on street bike riding and a mix of gravel and road.

Schenley to allegheny cemetary

Tour through a handleful of neighborhoods including Oakland, Shadyside, Bloomfield, and Garfield. Take fun loop through the Allegheny Cemetery, just don’t get turned around. 👻

Schenley to highland park

Share the road on a loop up to Highland Park, stop for a picnic, then make your way back to Oakland. This route will take you on many roads with sharrows.

South Side River Trails Loop

This route is great for beginners who are looking for mainly trails and protected bike lanes. Tour the Eliza Furnace Trail!

Schenley to North Side Trail

You can do ONE big hill, right? Take a beautiful and easy going tour through the city, then make your way back up to end with a celebratory beverage in Oakland. You deserve it.
