Babes on Kayaks – July

Join Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes for a relaxed, group paddle with your fellow rad cyclists out of Sharpsburg on the Allegheny River! Excursionists will cover the basics of kayaking and guide the group along the river.

Kids are welcome to join for this event. Ages 3+ can join you on a tandem kayak or children ages 6+ can join our outdoor educators for on-land activities like tent building and fishing while you go out on the water.

Age Regulations for Kayaking
Age 3 (or 35 lbs) to 12 – Must be in a tandem kayak with a parent or guardian, and parent or guardian must sign an Acknowledgement & Assumption of Risk Form for each child.

Age 13-15 – May be in a solo kayak, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the water. Must also have parent or guardian sign an Acknowledgement & Assumption of Risk Form.

Age 16-17 – May be in a solo kayak on water alone, but parent or guardian must sign an Acknowledgement & Assumption of Risk Form.
