Summer Camp: Outdoor Leadership
Rising Grades 10th – 12th

Day Camp Monday-Wednesday | July 1 -3 | 9am – 4pm | North Park

NEW Our brand new Outdoor Leadership program offers the opportunity to experience the adventure activities that Venture Outdoors provides AND the opportunity to learn to facilitate these activities. Outdoor Leadership camp is an excellent addition to college applications. Campers who successfully complete this 3-day Outdoor Leadership camp may be invited to serve as a volunteer co-counselor for our day camps throughout the summer season.

Campers will kayak in tandem kayaks for a minimum of one hour, fish for a minumum of one hour, bike for a minimum of 2.5 miles, and hike/geocache for a minimum of 1 mile. Leadership campers will learn songs, games, and crafts for use with groups of children and younger teens. They will also be coached in effective communication techniques and other aspects of leadership as it applies to working with children and peers. All campers are expected to participate in all activities.

Campers are expected to follow behavior guidelines to ensure a welcoming and fun environment for all campers. Upon registration we’ll reach out to you via email with a packet of information and follow up questions about your camper.

Financial assistance may be available. Please fill out this form and we’ll contact you if financial assistance is available for your child. Completion of this form does not automatically enroll your camper in summer camp, nor does it guarantee that we will be able to offer financial assistance at any point.
