Wilderness First Aid Training

Longtime Venture Outdoors Trip Leader and critical care nurse, Eric Steinbring, is providing Wilderness First Aid training (WFA) to Venture Outdoors staff. WFA is a training course that focuses on preventing, assessing, and treating injuries and illnesses in remote environments. WFA is a step up from basic first aid and can help in emergencies when professional responders are not easily available.

This course requires 16 hours of online pre-work that needs to be completed in advance of the in-person training. You will need to have a current First Aid and CPR certification and pass an online test to complete the WFA course. The certification is valid for 2 years.
