$10.0022 in ‘22 Guided Trail Rides
There are approximately 22 scenic, car-free, bike paths in the region. Let’s explore them all together! Bike every trail and fill out your passport along the way. Each trail is less than a 2-hour drive from Pittsburgh and we’ll bike between 10 – 24 miles. Best of all, each ride includes a discussion of the landscape and history by Earth Science Excursions, LLC geologist Fred Zelt.

Trip #21: Oil Creek State Park
Let’s cycle 20 miles on this popular, paved bike path in historic and scenic Oil Creek State Park, south of Titusville PA. We will cycle at a leisurely pace and stop at scenic and historic spots in this lovely, narrow stream valley that was shaped by glacial meltwater. If you want to cycle a shorter route by heading back before the turnaround or continue beyond the group turnaround for a more challenging longer pedal, this trip is designed to accommodate you!
Kids, pets in carriers and e-bikes are welcome.
Bicycle helmets are required. The week before the excursion we will send those who have registered an email with more information about the path we will be cycling, what to bring and exactly when and where to meet at the start. If you want to rent a bike, we can recommend a bike rental and help transport up to three bikes. This trip is offered in partnership with Earth Science Excursions, LLC.
