Description/ What to Expect: Author Laura Zurowski takes us through the South Side West Neighborhood for the month of May. We will be departing from and returning to Velum Fermentation — with a free drink voucher when you return from your intrepid travels! While breaks will be taken along the route, but these urban hikes are designed for folks who are accustomed to the challenges of significant elevation gains. Skill level is moderate to advanced.
Trip Leader: Laura Zurowski is a technical writer at the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2017, she has published Mis.Steps: Our
Missed Connections with Pittsburgh’s City Steps, a public space documentation project of Pittsburgh’s public
stairways. Laura graduated from Emerson College, where she studied marketing and communication, and Harvard
University’s Graduate School of Education, where she received a Master’s in Education, Planning, and Social Policy
