Fishing Tyke Hike

Calling all budding naturalists! Come out and explore the natural wonders of Highland Park. We will start with a brief lesson on fishing. Then everyone will get a chance to cast a line into the water and hopefully catch a fish at Highland Park’s Carnegie Lake. We will then take an easy stroll around the park while discover insects, plants, and rocks.

This walk is designed for the youngest naturalists – ages 0-6 and their caregivers, but older siblings are invited to join. The walk will end by noon, and attendees are invited to bring blankets and snacks to enjoy a picnic on their own.

Big Day Aht is a weekend-long fundraiser that supports Venture Outdoors’ efforts to remove barriers and create access to outdoor experiences. Your film festival or guided trip ticket purchases provide gear, guidance, and inspiration. Thank you for your support!

If we cancel the event (only due to extreme circumstances), please reach out to us if you would like a refund or your ticket price can be donated to support our programs. If you can no longer attend the event, we are not able to provide a refund. You may however transfer your ticket. Thank you for understanding.
