Full Sturgeon Full Moon Sunset Hike

Enjoy a beautiful and scenic hike in the largest privately protected conservation area in Allegheny County, Dead Man’s Hollow. The Hollow was the site of a thriving industrial area over 100 years ago that vanished after a fire and is the home of many mysterious tales. We will have the opportunity to check out some of the ruins and climb the Enchanted Staircase while enjoying a beautiful summer evening and sunset.

The first and last mile of this out and back hike will be fairly flat and then we will encounter a challenging climb uphill. We will cover approximately 4 miles on this moderately challenging trail and will encounter trails that may have uneven terrain, rocks, roots and muddy sections.

Dress for the weather (Venture Outdoors trips proceed rain or shine!), bring water and wear comfortable closed toe shoes.
