Strap on your walking shoes, grab your cameras, and let’s take a hike through the colorful, celebrated neighborhood of Lawrenceville!
Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville area is filled with rich history as well as an enormous amount of growth. This formerly quiet section of the city on the edge of the Strip District has transformed to an exciting, dynamic, and eclectic go-to destination. Its streets are lined with wonderful spots for dining, shopping, and culture. Starting at Butler St and 46th Street, let’s explore parts of Central and Lower Lawrenceville, and the tip of the Strip District, in a fast-paced tour of some of the area’s most incredible public art.
This brisk two-hour outing will cover about five miles of paved sidewalks, with some traffic through intersections with minimum to low-grade hills. We will see statuary, metal art, and murals, featuring the work of renown Pittsburgh artist Jeremy Raymer. The neighborhood is also home to several amazing restaurants (from holes-in-the-wall to several of the top spots in the city), highly rated breweries, many bars of all types, art events, boutique shops, and even a bowling lane!
Get ready for an adventure!
