22 in ’22 Trip Wild One!  Cycling the Mahoning Shadow Trail 

A little something extra – let’s cycle the Pennsylvania Wilds!  We will pedal twelve miles on this lovely rail trail along Mahoning Creek.  We will start on the western edge of Punxsutawney, home of Punxsutawney Phil and inspiration for the film Groundhog Day!  Bring your best Phil Connors, Rita Hanson, Ned Ryerson and Sonny & Cher vibes.  We will return to Punxsutawney in time to enjoy lunch in town after the ride, if you choose. 

Bicycle helmets are required. The week before the excursion we will send those who have registered an email with more information about the path we will be cycling, what to bring and exactly when and where to meet at the start.  If you want to rent a bike, we can recommend a bike rental and help transport up to three bikes.  This trip is offered in partnership with Earth Science Excursions, LLC.
