Age 50+ Walk & Learn with a Park Ranger
June 20 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeWalk & Learn with a Park Ranger
Enjoy some time outside that combines education and outdoor experience each month! For the month of June, we will enjoy the unique charm of Highland Park, an East End gem.
Join Park Ranger Bram for a relaxed nature walk. We’ll take a gentle 1 mile stroll around Highland Park, starting at the fountain in front of the reservoir at the Highland Avenue entrance. We will walk the paths to explore the newly re-opened tunnel (and hear about the park’s fascinating history) while learning about cost-free options for resistance training from Physical Therapist Anne. This hike is designed for folks who are beginning their outdoor adventure — or returning after a hiatus!
Physical Therapist Anne will touch on how water makes up the largest component in you body. Your need for fluid increases with activity. Learn the top reasons to stay hydrated as well as jazzing up your water.
Starting Location: Highland Park Entry Garden (1467 N Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206)
Activity Level:Â Level 1 Relaxed
Distance: 1 mile
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to ensure that the trip gets underway on time.
