Age 50+ Walk & Learn Series

  • Molly Campe
A group of hikers watches as Ranger Erica points out Squawroot aka Cancerroot.

This series is designed for beginner and returning hikers.  There are two walks per month:

The Nature Walk (first Thursday of the month) is led by a Park Ranger and will feature flora and fauna in our city parks. Rangers discuss invasive and native species, plant life cycles, animals that make their homes in the parks and more!

The Healthy Aging Walk (third Thursday of the month) is led by physical therapist, Anne W, who chooses a topic each month related to wellness to build the hike around, distributing a brief write-up with information on the topic for participants. Past topics have included “How to Use Trekking Poles,” “Hydration” and “Ankle Mobility.”
